About Valerio Di Rosa

Valerio Di Rosa writes soccer books: for kids who play the game, and for the coaches, analysts and fans who think about it. He writes in English and in Italian, for readers in the US, the UK and Italy.

He grew up playing youth soccer and still remembers every missed penalty. That's where his books for young readers come from: Soccer Fairy Tales, twenty-one true stories of teams that did the impossible, The Soccer Quiz Book, three hundred questions with every answer explained, and Soccer Brain Training, a playbook for the tough moments of the game.

For coaches there is Soccer IQ for Young Players and its companion book of training sessions. And there is The Evolution of Football Tactics, a series that follows the game from Total Football to modern pressing, then into the data era, the ninety minutes, every position and every country.

The method doesn't change: take a complicated idea and make it clear without dumbing it down. To hear when a new book comes out, join the newsletter.
